Join the HUME team to hit the ground running (and walking!) to celebrate a milestone 40 years in the business. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or a causal stroller, this event is for you and your family. It’s not just about crossing the finish line; it’s about celebrating our journey, our community and the steps we’ve taken together. Join in, get active and have fun.
Enjoy a scenic route starting at Kaitkati’s iconic War Memorial Hall, making your way past the Dave Hume pool through Kati walkways, a Hume family kiwifruit orchard, past Hume Pack-N-Cool, then back through the streets to where you started. A loop designed for all ages and abilities, including prams.

KATIKATI CHRISTIAN FOODBANK
Although this is a free event we are asking for a donation for the local Kaitkati Food Bank. The foodbank provide emergency food assistance for those in need, so bring along a gold coin or more on the day to support this great cause.

All start times and event courses are subject to change dependent on road conditions and road availability. The start times and event courses will be confirmed in advance of the event and course description and maps will be updated with the final event course.
Dress Up In Blue
Go crazy and get dressed up! Whether it's a blue wig, tutu, scarf or shoes - anything goes. Dressing in blue is not mandatory, but it’s a fun way to unite our community and add an extra splash of color. Prizes available for best dressed. Looking forward to seeing everyone in BLUE!
Prize-giving: 11.30am
Enjoy a complimentary sausage sizzle for all runners/walkers and face painting while you cheer on others across the finish line. Hang around for prize-giving to win some great prizes from local businesses. You must be at prize-giving to claim your prize.
Car Parking:
Parking is available in and around the Katikati township, including behind the War Memorial Hall, and also along the neighbouring streets at the start/finish.

Course Summary:
5km / 10km Run/Walk
All events start and finish at the iconic Katikati War Memorial Hall on the Main Street, Katikati. Heading south, turning left on to Jocelyn Rd head towards the Dave Hume Pool then follow the George Vasey Stewart Park pathways. Cross over Fairview Rd onto the Kati Kaiway Reserve pathway, then crossing over Gilfillan Drive and Wills Drive onto the boardwalk/ gravel pathway, before entering one of the Hume family Kiwifruit Orchard. Head along Prospect Drive past the Hume Pack-N-Cool facilities, where an aid station and toilets will be located. Head back along Beach Rd, weaving your way through the streets, until you get to Carisbrook Street.
The 5km Run/Walk participants will cut through the pathway towards the library, and back to finish at the War Memorial Hall.
The 10km Run/Walk participants will get a band from a marshal at the aid station on Carisbrook Street to indicate they have done 1 lap. Carry on along Carisbrook Street to the Dave Hume pool, and continue on the course they have just run for lap 2. After their second lap, at Carisbrook Street participants will cut through the pathway towards the library, and back to finish at the War Memorial Hall.

There will be two aid stations:
1. Hume Pack-N-Cool - Water available for all participants. Toilets available here.
2. Carisbrook Street - Where the 5km/10km events split from each other, water will be available.
